1973 JEEP COMMANDO
The concept of Slantback SIX is all in the name.
We were originally planning on building a CJ6 for the additional interior space it affords but after some research and discussion within our jeep circles, it was determined that that the Jeep Commando offers all the space but with better foundation for a starting point. Not to mention the option to bolt right in a CJ front clip with little effort.
CJ6 + slanted rear tub of a Commando = SlantbackSIX
It wasn’t long before the vehicle took on a life of its own. From what was intended to be a sleeper trail rig to full on beast in both capability and build efforts.
Teraflex Tera60 JK axles, to one-off aluminum plate armor and dash/consol, you will quickly see in the photo gallery there is absolutely nothing sleeper about it. A perfect combination of sexy, sweet, and brute.
This is what we built.
